Cemetery Restoration Workshops
The purpose of the cemetery restoration workshops sponsored by the Warren County Genealogical Society is to educate and involve people in cemetery conservation and history. We hope each person who attends our workshops either gets their hands dirty with a restoration project or becomes an enlightened advocate for cemetery conservation. Everyone knows of at least one cemetery that desperately needs attention. Ohio's laws regarding old cemeteries need to be improved. More importantly, people need to learn the basics of cemetery conservation. Hence, the Warren County Genealogical Society is sponsoring cemetery restoration workshops to educate and involve ordinary citizens as well as those responsible for cemetery maintenance and oversight in the best ways to approach cemetery preservation. Understanding cemetery restoration is non-intuitive, so must be learned.
